She was the little girl who watched the Disney princess movies constantly. She grew up in the land of princesses and pirates. Her world was full of glitter, color, and magic. Disney movies filled her life, and every night as a little girl, she’d lay in bed and dream of trips to Disney World, where she would meet her prince charming and be swept away to a Happily Ever After.
Her Prince Charming had a different story picked out. As soon as Gabby’s smile flooded his computer screen, Tyler knew that he had to talk to the smart, quiet, and beautiful princess that stared back at him. Her eyes twinkled when she laughed and her caring, calm personality swept him off his feet. She was the most gorgeous girl in the world and he knew almost instantly that she would someday be his wife.
In true Disney fan fashion, Gabby and Tyler’s day was sprinkled with little Disney details that only enhanced the already magical day. As they stood out in the field at sunset, dancing in each others arms, the reminisced on the day they met and how their life couldn’t be more of a perfect fairytale. And as their magical day came to a close, they packed their bags and headed to Disney World, spending their first week as husband and wife in the most magical place on earth. Gabby and Tyler, have an absolutely amazing time in Disney and I have to say I’m a bit jealous 😉 Cheers to a magical future and fingers crossed that you get to see the Little Mermaid, Gabby – xx, M
He was faster then her. Not by a lot, but enough to catch her attention. They passed each other going to and from the track and soccer fields. Even though they were only in sixth grade, something about the curly haired brunette boy’s quick wit and contagious laugh caught Emma’s attention. They became fast friends and spent the next three years of middle school and four years of high school by each other’s side.
Just as friends though. As their families and friends poked and prodded, teasing Emma and Josh that they would someday end up together, Emma and Josh would simply roll their eyes and deny it. But somewhere, down in their souls, they knew their family and friends were right. And eventually, after years of hiding mutual crush’s and skirting around the obvious, Emma and Josh ended up hand in hand. The rhythm of a relationship was easy after being friends for so long – it was comforting, natural, and familiar. And on one snowy day last December, as they spent the day making Christmas cookies with Emma’s family, he took her out onto the front porch and asked her to be his best friend for the rest of their lives.
They’ll be married next summer at Salomon Farms with a celebration at Dupont Downs, surrounded by family and friends who will proudly exclaim “I told you so” as Emma and Josh celebrate their first day as husband and wife. Emma and Josh- you two are the sweetest souls and I can’t wait until next September! xx- M
