I cannot get over the delicious colors in this romantic autumn Arboretum wedding! Caitlin and Dan picked the most gorgeous golden afternoon for their ceremony, and the location could not have been more perfect for their fairytale day.
As a midwest wedding photographer, I love catching portraits outdoors — weather permitting or not! (Rainy Chicago shots with umbrellas can really be the most delightful thing!) Fortunately, this day was just BEAUTIFUL. The gold, rust, and orange leaves were a stunning complement to Caitlin’s gorgeous floral overskirt and train! Bouquets and bridesmaid’s dresses added a deep russet and garnet undertone to the whole picture. Just stunnin’!
I had the chance to ask Caitlin more about the couple’s romance:
“Dan and I grew up in the same neighborhood since middle school. We began dating in high school when I made the first move to ask him out. He proposed to me after dating for almost 10 years while we were on vacation on Mackinac Island this past June. On a typical date we would go out somewhere to explore (such as the Chicago Botanic Gardens) and then have a lovely dinner at somewhere new almost every time. We also loved going to the theater before Covid, and currently go on lots of walks.”
Caitlin and Dan — I hope your romantic autumn Arboretum wedding was everything you could have hoped for! I’m so grateful to have been part of your day, and thrilled to share these beautiful moments with you all!
