He was the boy across the room. Something about him caught Kalie’s attention. She whispered to her friend that the boy was cute, hoping that her friend keep the secret. Maybe it was his quiet, patient demeanor, or maybe it was the way he laughed. Or maybe, it was because Kalie knew, deep down in her soul, that there was something more to their story then just a boy and a girl at a work event.

A few weeks later, her friend spilled the beans to Lance. Soon after, Kalie and him started an endless conversation that lasted four years, until one special evening on a beach during sunset. The boy that she saw across the room four years earlier was on one knee with a ring in his hand and a question on his lips. As Kalie squealed the words “yes!”, her family and best friends showered them with love and celebration. She stood there in the middle of it all, realizing that she was living a real live fairytale. 

Their fairytale will have a new chapter next spring when they’ll be married with the family and friends that have watched their relationship grow and blossom over the past four years. It’s not enough to say that I’m SO excited to be a part of it and celebrate with them.
