This chic Art Institute engagement session was a blast! Grace and Steven decided to spice up their love story against the cool vibes of the city. As a Chicago wedding photographer, I can vouch for the fact that revisiting favorite spots can yield awesome, fresh images, and this Art Institute session proves it!
The Chicago Art Institute, a cool spot in the city, set the stage for this classy engagement shoot. Grace and Steven had a great time exploring the museum grounds, showing off their love against the artsy backdrop.
Grace’s pick of white outfits added a touch of class, giving off those classic bride vibes. From her white dress and chunky heels in the museum to her white jeans and blouse, she looked incredible! Stephen kept it classic with a suit in the museum and then opted for a casual plaid shirt for their champagne toast by the fountain.
In Grace’s words: “Steven and I both grew up in the suburbs of Chicago about 10 minutes apart. Fast forward to 2018, we met on St. Patrick’s Day at a bar on Western Ave in Chicago. We had our first date 10 days later, and the rest is history! That summer, our go-to spot was a local ice cream shop called Plush Horse where we’d chat for hours after wolfing down our ice cream in record time. Fast forward 5 years, Steven proposed to me at Plush Horse. I couldn’t have asked for a better spot for us to make awesome memories.”
Their St. Patrick’s Day meet-cute, the laid-back first date, and the sentimental proposal at Plush Horse add a dose of nostalgia to their engagement story. It’s a reminder that love finds a way in the coolest places.
This chic Art Institute engagement session is a shoutout to the awesomeness of Chicago, the enduring love between Grace and Steven, and the art of capturing these moments. Here’s to a couple whose love story is as cool as the city they chose to celebrate it in. Cheers to Grace and Steven and the fantastic memories they made at the Chicago Art Institute!
