It started a few years earlier with a simple swipe right. Neither of them had any intention of starting something serious. But minutes after their first “date day” ended, Jenni was calling up her sister swearing that she had met the man she would soon marry. And while her sister initially rolled her eyes and didn’t think much of it, it was her sister who stood with champagne glass in hand toasting the happy couple and recounting the early days of their relationship while Jenni and Kurt sat there as a newly formed husband and wife.
The day was long awaited and long worked for. Overjoyed family and friends gave countless hugs and cried an overflow of happy tears as Jenni and Kurt relished the day that had finally come. Between jobs, grad school, a house purchase, and the first furry member of their family, this wedding day was often dreamed about and often the light at the end of the tunnel. And finally, on a cloudy and humid summer lake day, they were married.
Jenni and Kurt, spending the day celebrating with you and witnessing your day was the greatest privilege. We’re forever grateful for your family that treated us like long lost friends and for your friends that embraced us like one of the party. You two have the best of people surrounding you – which is totally fitting since you two are the best and brightest souls. I can’t wait to see how your little family grows (I’m hinting at more Aussies here) and how you two take on the world. All the love – xx, M + C.
