James would have never guessed that when he got in the car to drive to south London for the soccer clinic, that the small Midwest American university would take interest in him. He would have never guessed that just a few short months later, he’d be leaving his country and flying halfway across the world to the small Indiana town. He would have never guessed that it was there, when he helped the freckle-faced, smiling girl in a leg cast down the stairs, that she would be his wife. But somehow, two countries, two worlds, and two hearts collided. Before Katlin and James knew it, they were graduating, enrolling in grad school, and planning a wedding.
On the bright summer morning, family of James traveled thousands of miles while family of Katlin’s welcomed them with open arms. Hugs were exchanged from both sides and champagne was poured as Katlin and James read their vows privately under the gazebo and tied the cord of three strands to seal their promises to each other. Throughout the night, cheers rang out through the barn and the dance floor shook as the two families celebrated the couple that had brought them together.
Katlin and James, your wedding was one for the books and was such a privilege to document. You seriously hold such a special place in our hearts and we can’t thank you enough for letting us party with you on your wedding day. All the love and thanks for being troopers in the sweltering heat and sneaking out of your reception to enjoy the sunset. Have the best time in those Wisconsin treetops for us. All the love – xx, M&M
