Okay but this rainy Spring wedding at Lacuna Lofts in Chicago was EPIC.
Kelsea & Tim were the sweetest couple, and so in love! I asked Kelsea about how they met, and she told me the best story about how she moved to Chicago to be a teacher. Here’s how she described their meet-cute:
On January 4th, 2015 I got my first experience of “extreme weather day” when it was announced it was too cold to have school the next day. To celebrate, my roommate and I opened a bottle of wine, put on some Friends, grabbed all the blankets we could and downloaded Tinder for the night! That’s when I “swiped right” with Tim.
Unfamiliar with the online dating world, we took it slow and just talked for about a month and a half. It wasn’t until ANOTHER extreme weather day that we had our first date…We talked for hours and about the most random things and it just felt so right – we just clicked.
After five years of dating in Chicago, Tim moved with me to be closer to my family back in Arizona. We’ve bought a home together, and we rescued a dog. And then shortly thereafter, Tim took me to a special lookout hike to watch the sunset and he proposed.
Okay, but if that’s not the cutest story ever, I don’t know what is!
These two were clearly meant to be together, and it was such an honor to be their Chicago wedding photographer. Their venue, Lacuna Lofts, had all the industrial vibes I love so much and the rainy day just made for the most laid-back, amazing wedding day ever.
