He was sitting on the couch of their friend’s apartment when Taylor and her roommate entered. Staring at his phone, he paid almost no attention to the girl with the bright green eyes and contagious laugh when the introduction was made in the living room. Taylor departed soon after, but when classes started the following Monday, Jose saw a familiar face from across the hall. Light conversation was made, and Taylor and Jose found themselves in every single class after that the entire day.

Soon after, they found themselves doing everything together. They started hiking, exploring, bringing dogs into the family, and creating a home. More than anything, they found themselves by each others side through graduation, career changes, and to make each other laugh each and every day. On a summer day behind the skyline of Chicago, Jose handed Taylor a ring and requested her for the adventure of a lifetime.

Next summer, family and friends will travel from all over to witness Taylor and Jose promise forever underneath the painted ceilings of the Cathedral in downtown Fort Wayne. We thought it was only fitting to embrace their love of adventure and explore the hills of Warren Dunes in Michigan. Taylor and Jose, I seriously can’t wait to watch you bust dance moves and laugh all through your day with you next year. Thanks for getting sandy, wet, and stepping in lots of seagull poop for me.
