He remembered being tucked into his bed covers as his parents sat on the edge of the little twin bed, kissing him goodnight. Every night, his father’s deep and comforting voice would start talking to God, thanking Him for blessings, asking for a good night’s sleep, and most curiously, prayed for the little girl somewhere in the world that his son would marry. Caleb always wondered who this girl might be, and tried to picture her occasionally. Maybe she was in his school, at his church, or in a small Indiana town hundreds of miles away.
And then, all of a sudden, a sweet, smiling girl entered into his life. She had moved hundreds of miles to work at an organization in North Carolina, right where Caleb happened to be. They slowly became friends, and as much as they wanted to become something more, God told them the timing wasn’t right. So patiently, they waited. It was on a trip to Rome, underneath the historic cathedrals, lights, and romantic air of Italy, that they finally spent an evening hand in hand on their first date. The adventure of their relationship didn’t stop there- just a little while later, there Keisha was, underneath a waterfall staring at the man she adored, who was down on one knee asking her to be his wife.
Caleb and Keisha were married at Winona Heritage Room next to the shimmering waters of Winona Lake, Indiana. The day was calm, cloudy, and relaxed. They opted to see each other before the ceremony, which led to having lots of time for photos and to enjoy the entire day together. And just as they stood hand in hand with each other at the altar, promising to be husband and wife, the sun broke out of the clouds. Gods love and blessing shone down on them as they stood, surrounded by family, praying that He blesses their life together. As they exited the reception on a tandem bike, guests excitedly tossed paper airplanes and blessings for a life full of love and adventure their way. Keisha and Caleb, it was such a joy being a part of your day and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for you two! xx- Morgan
