She rocked Keds with a ballgown and took on the impeding weather like a champ. Even when her church was being remodeled and she didn’t get a trolley, but instead a limo, Alex was the chillest bride. She knew that the only thing that mattered on the wedding day was the fact that she would be walking down the aisle to the guy who was too lazy to write a bio on the dating app all those years ago. Even though the cardinal rule had been broken when they first started that Tinder conversation, Alex had no regrets. She loved this man so much that she even let him don the Redwings socks on their wedding day, even though she knew deep down in her soul that the Penguins were far superior (jokes, guys, jokes).
Meanwhile, Greg spent the day doing everything he could to make his bride laugh. From thoughtful gifts like Starbucks cups and jewelry to cracking jokes and making faces during photos, all he wanted was to see joy on her face. He sweat his butt off during the weird rainy fall weather humidity but never complained or begged to take his jacket off. Both of them thought only of each other and their friends, setting up a cigar bar at the reception so the Bergstaff patio could be put to good use and ensuring that each family member and friend that attended was greeted with a bear hug and devoted conversation.
I love these two. They didn’t judge me when I thought Zuckerberg was dropping the ceremonial puck at the Redwings game because I got it mixed up with Zeterberg. They never complained when I told them “one more photo” and then continually drug them away again for another sunset photo or rainbow shot and they willingly got doused in champagne and confetti when I needed my 100th wedding celebration photo. Yep you heard that right – 100 weddings and these two sealed the deal with a bang. Thank you so much for everything, Greg and Alex. You two are have gorgeous hearts and gorgeous faces and I’m so honored to be a part of your day. Thanks for making the 100th wedding nothing short of freaking amazing for me. All the love – xx, M & K
