She could name every tree that stood on Union 12’s property that day and could identify every bird that coasted through the field of wildflowers. The same field of wildflowers that she and her mother explored earlier that morning during the wedding and bouquet prep. As an old soul and a naturalist, Amy knew she wanted to bring as much of her love of the outdoors and Jon’s love of music into the white walls of Union 12.
Old mixed cassette tapes from different parts of their relationship decorated the tables -from a long distance relationship to a proposal, Jon had created a soundtrack for every moment, big and small, of their lives together. An old soul just like Amy, he wanted them to have a soundtrack of their lives instead of just one song.
It was a long awaited day and a day that represented the two of them in every way. From a hand crafted veil, to grandma’s pearls wrapped around the bouquet, to carefully cut, eco-friendly confetti that was tossed upon departure, their family and friends poured their heart and soul into Amy and Jon’s wedding day. Happy tears were shed and toasts were made as everyone dearest to them celebrated the fact that they had worked so hard and finally made it to the day of their dreams.
Amy and Jon, I’ve never had so much fun running through the fields of Union 12 and I love the way your hearts skip a beat for the simple things in life. Amy you are my favorite barefoot bride and Jon, thank you for giving me some epic songs to edit your wedding too. I hope you guys hiked all the mountains in Tennessee and I can’t wait to witness what you do with your lives. Thank you for the best privilege of documenting your day. All the love – xx, M
