Alexa and Brian got married this summer at the Chicago Winery. They have been together for a solid decade and were eager to bring their families and friends together to celebrate their wedding.
A little rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of this couple! Despite summer rainstorms threatening the day, they went ahead with their first look on the rooftop of the Nobu Hotel. Then we headed inside for some portraits. I just love the moody feel of the pictures I shot there! Next, we hit some of Chicago’s finest spots for photos with the bride and groom and their wedding party—the Lyric Opera House and the Board of Trade. Finally, it was off to the Chicago Winery for the main event.
I love that we had the chance to shoot at all of these iconic locations. Don’t be afraid to plan to head to a few different locations, especially those that are important to you! The cityscape is a dream backdrop for photographs, and their evening wedding allowed them to explore the best spots before the real celebration began.
Chicago Winery is a newer venue in Chicago, and Alexa and Brian did a fantastic job of making it come to life. They worked their magic, decking it out with pink and blush florals that set the perfect tone. Candles added that extra dash of romance. The arches on the walls were the ideal focal point for the ceremony, especially when decorated with such lush florals!
The reception area had dreamy summer vibes, with massive florals on the sweetheart table. Guest tables were adorned with smaller flowers and candles in hurricane vases. They cast a soft, warm glow over the whole celebration. It was so romantic!
I had a blast capturing every moment. Chicago Winery, with its modern charm, provided the perfect backdrop for Alexa and Brian’s love story. I can’t wait to head back for more love-filled moments in this beautiful city. Cheers to Alexa and Brian, and here’s to many more years of happiness and adventures together!
