These two lovebirds wanted a unique venue for their romantic photoshoot, and boy did we find it! I’m so excited for you to see this flirty Art Institute engagement shoot! The grand staircase and Impressionist exhibit halls were the perfect mix of classy and romantic. Just the right vibe!
Gaby and Matt were absolutely the cutest. You can tell from the photos below how much they adore each other! The laughter and kisses just kept coming. 🙂 And the Art Institute of Chicago really was the perfect background. These two were flirty and fun, and the elegant backdrop paired with a couple of sharp outfits was *chef’s kiss!*
Of course, in a beautiful city like Chicago, we had to take the party outside (you know we at Indigo Lace Collective love that Chicago skyline!). Taking a few quick snaps in front of the Chicago Theater just felt right, especially when you know the couple’s backstory! Gaby told us:
“Matty and I met freshman year in college, going on almost 10 years of being together! Both in the theatre program and met at a good ol’ college party. We moved to Chicago close to 5 years ago to pursue our acting careers. Fell in love with the city quickly, so we’re very excited to bring all of our loved ones to our home to celebrate our love!”
The couple closed the shoot with a pop of champagne and sunset kisses on an iron-wrought bridge over the river. As a Chicago wedding photographer, I just keep falling in love with the beautiful corners you find in the city… Whether an art museum, a stone balcony, or a romantic bridge – it’s always an adventure! Don’t miss a moment from this flirty Art Institute engagement session!
