As a Chicago wedding photographer I end up at the same venue more than once — but as you’ll see in the gorgeous photos from Sami and Andrew’s Whimsical Summer Wedding at Salvage One — each ceremony at this iconic location is as unique as the wonderful couple I get to work with!

Sami and Andrew met online (as so many of us do these days!) but the meet-cute almost didn’t happen! Sami explains more about their adorable love story:

“We met on Hinge and our first date at a coffee shop, where we sat and talked for two hours. He actually saw my profile on Hinge and each time he was too nervous to swipe right so he closed the app so he didn’t have to swipe right. He told me he was nervous that I would say no, so he just didn’t want to take the chance. Now we’ve been together for 2 1/2 years!”

Whew! I’m so glad these two made the connection despite the nerves! They are so clearly in love with each other and both light up as soon as the other comes into view. We were able to commemorate a few things they both love in the wedding portraits – a favorite cafe, caffeinated drinks, and beloved puppy.
