One of the things I love about being a Chicago Photographer is that I get to see all kinds of weddings. Some are big and extravagant, and others are small and classic like Hannah and Jordan’s intimate Mia Francesca wedding. A smaller wedding has a different vibe, but is still every bit as celebratory and special as a bigger event. 

Hannah and Jordan are from Detroit, but Chicago is a special place for them because they met here seven years ago. I have to agree that there is something truly special about the city, and I can totally understand why they came here to get married! They shared that they wanted a small wedding of only 30 on the back patio of Mia’s with a dinner in their coach house to follow. We couldn’t wait for the big day! 

On the morning of the wedding, Hannah and Jordan got ready separately. Hannah wore a white, spaghetti-strap v-neck gown with a low back. She swept her hair back in a low bun with face-framing pieces pulled out. Jordan looked sharp in a black suit. After getting ready, they met for a first look at The Pendry Hotel before heading out for portraits. 

We walked around the city together to capture those iconic Chicago wedding shots. Of course, we had to stop by the river and the Chicago Board of Trade building. After we captured portraits, we headed to the ceremony. 

Their ceremony was most certainly intimate, with just those closest to them in attendance. They exchanged vows on the patio under a gorgeous floral arch full of large white blooms. After their touching ceremony, it was time for the party to begin. 

The reception was set up both inside and on the patio. Tables for guests to enjoy dinner were set up inside and decorated with white florals and warm candles on white linens. The dinner buffet was set up outside, along with the cake. A touch that I really loved was their champagne glass tower. It’s such a showstopper, and guests always really love it. Their cake was a cute heart that said “Til Death Do Us Part.” LOVE. 

Every detail of this intimate Mia Francesca wedding was so thoughtfully planned and executed. It was the perfect small wedding and celebration of love.
