They’ll be married next year at Journeyman’s Distillery in Michigan (see the theme here?), in an intimate and simple wedding that my heart is so freaking excited to document. Julia and Billy, thank you so much for making the road trip up so we could explore your favorite littleThey’ve always had a thing for breweries. It was where their first date was, where they chose to go watch games, hang out with friends, and socialize after a long day at work. It was where they spent long weekends together and they were always up for a road trip to a new brewery or town that was a hub for a good beer. Grand Rapids was their favorite city, so it seemed only fitting for Billy to arrange a weekend where all their friends were surrounded around a table there on a mini-weekend getaway. Julia thought nothing of it until Billy got down on one knee and proposed to her with the Grand Rapids skyline in the background and their friends cheering them on. And of course, with all of the craft beer connections, they knew they had to keep the trend alive. The little road trip up north to explore their favorite city for an engagement session was beyond worth it – we froze a little bit as we walked through the city and Billy and Julia talked about their favorite restaurants, beers, and places to visit. city and so that I could get a fresh change of scenery. It was so freaking fun and worth it and I can’t wait until next summer, where we’ll be MUCH warmer. All the love – xx, M.
