They were both music majors, and instantly caught each others eyes in the middle of class one day. The connection was immediate- Kassie was caught up in Kris’ contagious laugh and Kris was captured by Kassie’s magnetic energy. Knowing he had nothing to loose and that a move had to be made, Kris walked the pretty brown-eyed girl to her car every day for over a year. Every day they would talk and laugh, comfortable in the rhythm that was between them. Finally, after a year of socializing, they exchanged numbers. And being the humorous and witty man that he is, Kris shot Kassie the first text saying, “Hi Kassie with a “K,” this is Kris with a “K.”
They spent the next years together, hustling through college and grad school hand in hand. Between dates to concerts and movie nights at home their relationship grew naturally around them. They know each other and their personalities like the back of their hand, so much so that Kris knew that the only fitting place to ask Kassie to be his wife was in her favorite place. Under the twinkling lights and alternative music of the Free People store, he got down on one knee as Kassie squealed in surprise and delight.
They’ll be married next summer in the most romantic and bohemian chic wedding day one could imagine, surrounded by family and friends, and of course, music. Kassie and Kris, thank you so much for toughing out the rain and cold with me- you two are troopers and I can’t wait for your day! xx- M
