This rustic summer wedding at Heritage Prairie Farm was the vibe I want more of in life: laidback, heartfelt, and sweet as a long summer afternoon. Amanda & Anthony actually eloped mid-covid in the middle of a monsoon, and this celebration day was a 1-year-later vow renewal/round 2 ceremony to include all their family and friends who couldn’t be present the first time. And I can tell you — this crowd had been waiting a loooong time to celebrate this couple right!
After the ceremony, we stopped to take a few portraits in the field surrounding the venue as the sun set in a golden haze. These two lovebirds clearly have a deep and abiding connection to each other — and the giddy happiness on their faces during this special day was absolutely contagious! Amanda shared a snapshot of their love story:
“Anthony and I met in junior high. He was my first kiss! We reconnected online almost 15 years later. On a date day we love being cozy by getting food from our favorite restaurant and hanging out with our dogs on the couch.”
As a midwest wedding photographer, I love being part of celebrations that focus on real life romance — the little moments, the history of connection with each other, and the time spent with friends and family making new memories that will last a lifetime! Don’t miss a moment from this rustic summer wedding at Heritage Prairie Farm. We at Indigo Lace Collective love ya, Amanda & Anthony!
