When Johanna stepped off the plane onto the Indiana soil, after the long flight from Germany, she never dreamed that her adventurous spirit would lead her into the arms of Kip. As an exchange student from Germany, she was simply here for the American and college experience. Friends quickly surrounded her in her four years in Indiana, but only a few lasted after she headed back to Germany. One of those was Kip. 

Their friendship grew stronger, and it soon turned into a relationship that will last a lifetime. The time zones, the plane flights and the heavy workload of grad school didn’t stop Kip from kneeling on one knee before Johanna on his parent’s wooded property one evening. In just a few short weeks, it’s where they’ll become husband and wife.
