Dear couples who don’t want a first look + don’t want to have a huge gap between the ceremony and the reception for photos: do THIS.
Ariel and Derrick knew that they wanted to see each other for the first time walking down the aisle. They also knew that with the ceremony and reception being in the same location, they wanted to minimize the gap that usually occurs on wedding days. They had the brilliant idea of opting for a Day-After session. They made sure to carefully preserve the flowers in the fridge after the ceremony so they’d be in good shape the next day, and after spending the day after their wedding with friends and family, they got dressed back up in their outfits and escaped to their favorite field at sunset. The best part? Ariel and Derrick were able to spend some quality time with each other on their wedding weekend, which can be SO rare, especially if there’s no first look.
Ariel & Derrick, thank you so much for being so brilliant and creative and venturing out with me for round 2. It was so nice to have the freedom to capture and create images with you without the stress of a timeline or wedding day interfering. You two are such an inspiration. All the love – xx, M
