I’ve never seen so many tears shed during a wedding ceremony. As Logan and Carsen stood on the back patio of Union 12, tissues were passed through mothers, brothers, and the wedding party as the two uttered their vows and passed the rings. Everyone knew how hard they had fought for this. From being best friends in middle school and high school to parting ways in college, reconnecting and making their previous friendship transition to a relationship, to persevering through long distance and never living in the same city, Carsen and Logan had fought through it all. Every single person sitting at that ceremony had been by their side, and tears of relief, joy, and pride streamed down the faces.
Since childhood, their hearts had waited for this. For the moment where their friendship transitioned to husband and wife. This was perfectly clear as they sat back to back before the ceremony, reading letters that they poured their heart and soul into, with tears streaming down their faces, talking about the journey they had been on. From that second after the vows were said, smiles were plastered on both of their faces the rest of the night. Throughout the entire evening, they never left each others side. The doors of Union 12 opened and music blared onto the patio as Carsen and Logan danced in the middle of all their friends in the cool spring air.
Carsen and Logan, I am so excited to see how you tackle life now that you’re finally physically by each others side. You two support each other in a way I rarely see and you are the sweetest, brightest souls who pour everything into the people around you. I love you two (and your sense of humor) so freaking much. Have the best time in the DR and enjoy it, because you definitely deserve it. All the love – xx, M&M
