They bonded immediately over social events, craft beers, traveling, long walks, and their love of everything Notre Dame. Matt was first drawn to her smile, but after their first true meeting, he was swept off his feet by how intelligent and funny she was. Lauren had this palpable energy that seemed to light up any room and warm all the people around her, but it was her passion for anything she set her mind too that immediately drew him in.
Lauren was instantly connected to Matt’s undying support, no matter the situation. Whatever she dreamed, whatever she set her mind too, Matt was there by her side cheering her on, and Lauren did the same for Matt. They both attribute their steadfastness to making it through long distance and completely opposite work schedules through their years of dating – from Skype dates, to long weekend drives, to making sure the other person felt loved even when they weren’t in the same city, Lauren and Matt poured their heart and soul into their instant connection, making it transform into a relationship that would last a lifetime.
On a warm summer day, in the middle of Lauren’s favorite winery, there stood Matt with a ring in hand. Much to Lauren’s surprise, their closest family and friends were peeking through the winery windows, anxiously waiting to celebrate their new chapter of life. They’ll be married next summer surrounded by the same family and friends that have supported them all along the way. Lauren and Matt, you two are such bright souls and I loved spending a few hours with you and watching how you build each other up and love each other so deeply. I cannot wait until next year! xx, M
