Feelin’ that summertime sadness? The good vibes from this summer wedding at Union 12 will immediately cheer you up! Breanna and Andy’s vision for their wedding revolved around friends and family having the time, space, and encouragement to let loose and enjoy the celebration. Breanna elaborates:

“My vision for the ‘feel of the wedding day’ is ideally an elegant but laidback feeling where people can have a good time and be carefree on the dance floor with throwback (1980s-2000s) songs, play a game of corn hole out by the fire, or just relax and take it all in and with a drink in their hand… So I guess I’m leaning towards beginning with a elegant and emotional feel before the ceremony, during the ceremony, and during the initial part of the reception (first dances, speeches), then gradually have the feels turn into a fun, carefree, relaxed night of everyone enjoying themselves as much as possible however they please.”

As a midwest wedding photographer, I gotta jump on Breanna’s train (not literally, lol–that dress is too pretty!) and agree that the moments that stick with you after the whirlwind of your special day are the fun, sweet moments interacting with the people you care about most who have gathered to support and celebrate you! If the last two years have taught us anything at Indigo Lace Collective, it’s that all of the bells and whistles of a traditional wedding ceremony aren’t what ultimately make the occasion special… it’s all about taking the time to celebrate your love with the people you love!
