This Grant Park and Chicago skyline engagement session was a dream–such a fun and easy going couple! Cassandra and Michael met at Ohio State during Cassandra’s senior year, and are getting married this August at the iconic Chicago Athletic Association.

We started off with casual posing along the lake, with that amazing Chicago skyline filling in the background! There’s something so summery and hip about a classic white top and jeans combo for engagement photos… We love to see it! Chicago may be the Windy City for a lot of the year, but you can’t beat the long summer days and balmy summer nights along the water.

Next, these two really leaned into the classy, editorial vibes as we walked through the European architecture of Grant Park! Cassandra’s green satin cocktail dress and feathery black heels were a perfect blend of elegant and romantic. As a midwest wedding photographer, I love finding the perfect corner of the city to showcase each couple’s personality!
