Sunlight streamed through the windows of Journeyman’s Distillery and the air was soaked with the smells of fresh whiskey. Right at sunset, friends and fmaily were toasting Billy and Julia and they were all saying the same thing – these two have hearts of gold and live to serve others. A teacher and a firefighter, both with a passion to serve and a love for breweries and distilleries, chose one of their favorite places to fill with the people they loved most.
Breweries and distilleries was where their first date was, where they chose to go watch games, hang out with friends, and socialize after a long day at work. It was where they spent long weekends together and they were always up for a road trip to a new brewery or town that was a hub for a good beer. It’s where Billy proposed. So when they walked into the ballroom at Journeymans, they knew it was the place where they’d read their vows and do whiskey taste testings with their closest friends.
Julia and Billy, I wish I could relive this day over and over again. You two have the best families, the best people around you. Being able to witness those small moments, like the relationship of your dad and you, Julia, was the greatest honor. I mean it. I’ll always point to you two for the best beer and brewery recs and I can’t wait to see how you pour your hearts into each other and others. All the love – xx, M&M
