As clouds settled over the suburbs of Chicago on the cool spring day, you could often hear the phrase “Finally” or “about time” uttered in the conversations between family members and loved ones. The phrases were scripted on cake toppers and pocket watches and inserted into speeches. After eight years of being together, the reference to the long awaited wedding could not have been a more perfect theme for Brandon and Kristin’s day.
Eight years of pouring their heart and soul into making their relationship succeed and grow even if it meant long distance, Skype chats, hours upon hours in the car every weekend just to see each other, and constantly job searching just so they could be in the same city. Eight years of being asked at every family holiday and birthday when the wedding day would be. Eight years of being boyfriend and girlfriend and then fiancee’s, it was finally time. Finally time to make two separate families unite with laughter, tears of joy, and celebratory champagne. Finally time to share a dance as husband and wife and walk under the alley lights hand in hand, talking about all the things the future holds. Finally time to promise each other their forever, heart, and soul – even if they had spent the last eight years promising and working towards it every single day.
Kristin and Brandon, watching you two love each other and celebrate that love with your closest family and friends meant the world and it was the greatest privilege and honor. We can’t thank you enough for welcoming us and treating us like family and allowing us to share the greatest day of your life with you. You two seriously have something insanely special between you and we can’t wait to see what you do with the epic life you created. All the love – xx, M&M
